If you were are one of the unlucky few who missed the live Winter Whip 2018 Results announcement then you’ve come to the right place. You’d think by now we’ve run out of ideas in making this event memorable. Guess again as anyone in attendance could vouch and say that the 5th edition was by far the best yet. It’s pretty safe to say that this event has made a name for itself in the international circuit. We saw world-class local and international Snowboarders and Skiers participate in the Slopestyle competition.

Now That’s What I Call a Slick Slopestyle Course

If you’re wondering who designed the 2018 Slopestyle course then your long quest for answers has come to an end. This year’s Slopestyle course was designed by the Afriski Mountain Resort’s Kapoko Park crew and included more features than ever before. The course provided fun and technical options for the competitors, allowing for progressive runs throughout the jam style contest.

Ultimate Ears Winter Whip 2018 Deserve Ultimate Prizes

Club Med Prize Winners

Luke Dutton always finds himself in the mix for the top step and this year he finally nailed it. This win meant that Dutton received the Club Med prize consisting of a snow holiday for two to a Club Med resort in the French Alps. In the Ladies division, it was Mawa Jekot who put in a solid performance to claim yet another Winter Whip victory. Jekot’s victory also earned her the Club Med prize consisting of a snow holiday for two to a Club Med resort in the French Alps.

Live performances by Lawless GentlemenSutherland, DJs Black Sparrow and Half n Half motivated even the most tired athlete to join the party.

Some Words from Our Event Organiser, Ryan Van Der Spuy

Although weather conditions threatened to put a damper on the weekend, the passion for snow sports shone through and with the continued support from our partners; Ultimate Ears, Red Bull, Zappa, Club Med and GoneSkiing, we were able to mark off another fun and successful Ultimate Ears Winter Whip event.
